Pericles Makris has been making his own music since 2012. Periplanises (wanderings), the songwriter alter-ego from his improvising self, explores the delicate moments of life, during his journeys around the European continent and its people. With songs and words, his new album Closure, deals with the topic immigration in modern Europe through the eyes of the artist. Opening and closing ties, being the stranger again and again while searching for new homes. Drawing inspiration from songwriting titans like Leonard
Cohen, Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens but also modern names, as Eddie Veder, Tallest Man on Earth among others. Closure delivers a storytelling journey across this land.
Marco Carboni is a Milanese guitarist and songwriter. After graduating in jazz guitar, he formed the contemporary jazz quintet I Am A Fish with which he recorded two records. At the same time, Marco has cultivated a passion for indie-folk music: Blake Mills, Sufjan Stevens, Adrienne Lenker and others have inspired his new solo project, which he is touring Europe. Marco tells his story with an intimate and delicate touch.
In this show, Pericles and Marco will walk you through those experiences and reflections, with his guitar, voice and stories, in an intimate atmosphere, with laughs and cries.
